Green onions are nearly ready, shallots are making their way. I have cucumber plants to put in the ground soon, and the serranos are ready to plant as well. Most other seeds started in the house pooped out early on -- they grew tall, then flopped over and died. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was, but I think they probably wanted a bit more light. I'm bummed, because I was really looking forward to heirloom tomatoes and green beans because I wanted to try some new canning recipes.
The neighbors' avocados are brilliant right now, as are some of the oranges. We've been enjoying those.
So ... what is everyone else growing? What can we plan on having to trade in the upcoming months?
